I deducted two stars, because of that unfinished feel and because of some cheap "happy"-endings.

I am so thrilled that I read the Savage series as I would not have thought to read this series had I not. That being said I would have had a better understanding of the characters when they appeared in the Savage series had I already read the Death series. Ahhh the chicken or the egg! The first book in this series is a bit rough in writing style but as I became accustomed to it I got into the flow. I was eventually able to clearly picture each of the characters and watch them grow physically in m I am so thrilled that I read the Savage series as I would not have thought to read this series had I not.
I was eventually able to clearly picture each of the characters and watch them grow physically in my minds eye. I confess that the amount of domestic violence that occurs not only in this series but the Savage series did make me wonder why the author has chosen for this particular aspect to be so prevalent.
It certainly raises a lot of questions and has strong emotional depth so I see how it works with the stories but so much of it??? I am enjoying this series so much I have already moved straight on to book four and from halfway through book one have found these stories hard to put down.

Oh, and I absolutely love the way that Book 3 gives us the history of many of the characters. It helps to fill in the characters and give them more depth. Great series, thanks Tamara Excellent Honestly i thoight that this was a children's book qfter reading the firat few chapters of the first book.
I enjoyed it and thanks to Jonnesy for being funny and most of the times clueless, I loved reading every part about him. Clyde has also gotten my attention and I am just wondering wha Excellent Honestly i thoight that this was a children's book qfter reading the firat few chapters of the first book.
Clyde has also gotten my attention and I am just wondering what's going to happen to Caleb's closest Zombie. I recommend this to any with patients up their bones because I almost stopped reading half way but decided to finish it and I am glad that I did. You might too. An excellent and imaginative story than captures the essence of "teenspeak" as it describes the adventures of Caleb Hart, a corpse manipulator.
Taking place in the not too distant future, the story introduces a communication device that works from brain waves and a chemical that enhances innate abilities in the human as they reach puberty. The characters are fun and interesting, and come equipped with a variety of unusual talents and interesting personalities. The series sets the stage for more An excellent and imaginative story than captures the essence of "teenspeak" as it describes the adventures of Caleb Hart, a corpse manipulator.
The series sets the stage for more stories to come, with only one of the three books having an actual ending. If you appreciate teen humor and paranormal stories you will love this book. I got this set for free, so maybe I expected too much. Bad writing, bad editing, bad grammar. The idea was interesting but it was hard to get past the flaws. Plus, the main character used insulting phrases and played them off like the cool kids used them and only lame parents thought it was wrong.
Sorry author. Jan 28, Paula Newham rated it it was ok. I loved the idea of this book. Set in the future with teenagers discovering their supernatural powers, I thought 'this is right up my street'. How wrong I was. The main character was an annoying brat and the author's style of writing was too conversational and sometimes difficult to follow - don't even get me started on the grammatical errors Book 3 was probably the best of the bunch, much more enjoyable and easy to follow, hence the 2 stars instead of one.
Would've been a better book if it actually ended The characters were funny it was a great storyline it was very engaging tale from the very beginning however it doesn't ever have closure there is no ending it just leaves everything hanging in the balance.
The reader is left to wonder what happened to these characters that were so skillfully created. This book ended up being a huge disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading. Disappointed Ending I was so into this story until I came to the end! There are so many unanswered questions. What happens between Parker and Caleb? Why is Clyde different, and why is he so drawn to the police woman. Please tell me there is going to be a follow-on to this part of the story. I got a huge kick out of Caleb and his friends. Jonesy really didn't have a filter and he just went full steam ahead.
The first three books in the series is awesome and it does make you wonder what would happen if a simple inoculation unlocked the psychic potential of each child. And the greater potential of the criminal element. Scary that. I do recommend these books for ALL ages. Good read for those who like the paranormal with a twist Interesting take on paranormal abilities within humankind.
Some abilities are recognised in some people today and some for the future. Look forward to the next i this series.

A good book with a few errors. Though I am an adult, I enjoy reading YA novels. This book was very attention grabbing despite feeling written very "young". There were also multiple typos and malformed sentences. Luckily through contextual clues, one could mostly figure out what was intended. Might have been good Sorry. This was a DNF for me. I can read YA all day and not feel like a rake is dragging over my eyes.
The extra commentary after every sentence is completely unnecessary and I wasn't willing to keep reading. Really good books!!!! I love box sets. In some ways it just like a long book, but a set is able to be broken up more. Anyway, don't miss out, get this series. You won't regret it!!!! Not what I expected I enjoyed the read, great story with interesting characters. It's following a group of paranormal 14yr olds. I enjoyed it enough to continue reading, but feel it could have been made darker if the MC's had been older. I loved these first three books of the series I am not really a paranormal and other than Kristen Ashley I dont read them.
This author makes me love them! A few parts of the book are very thought inducing, like wondering about a virus. Apr 24, Theresa rated it it was amazing. Every series I have read from Tamara has been fascinating, and this one is no exception! From the beginning you're hooked, waiting for what will happen next. Its so well written that you feel like you know these people! The Death Series There was so much I wanted to enjoy in this series. The premise of the abilities and how they could be used but then the body shaming and denigration of some women This set was really good, I really enjoyed these books, really good storyline :.
Good Read Looking forward to finishing the series. Nice blend of sci-fi and paranormal romance I haven't encountered in another series before. Keeps your attention This book is great at keeping your attention even if I have to start and stop a billion times. I recommend it to others. Addictive read Found it hard to put these books down. Imaginative and easy to get lost in, I would definitely recommend this series. A break from the norm! Be prepaered These books suck u in and don't let go.
The story and characters are strong. Can't wait to turn over to my 17 year old daughter. She'll love them. It is a great book to read. Very good I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good book to read and is was amazing. Great reading An interesting mix. Teens with powers, adults who don't understand them but want to control them and friendships tested and proved.
What more could a reader want? Interesting This a good switch of the paranormal. What could happen in the future. Although more young adult than new adult, it was still enjoyable. Decent read Plot was fairly good, semi fast read. Not sure if I will get the rest at this time but may do so eventually! Death Whispers This series must be read in order. This is the first book. I miss the original version without all the added real life our world stuff like Obama and the RFID chips! The original version was more believable and chilling. Now I wish I had bought a hard copy so I could just read the original : That said the book is still really good It was just awesome before Caleb is growing up The first sign of this for him is raising the dead as he passes out Biology is so not his best Death Whispers This series must be read in order.
Biology is so not his best subject! Dissection anyone? As he learns by experimenting he gains more control over his powers and he begins to realize that maybe he is in over his head and should start worrying about his future or lack of it if the government gets wind of his abilities and FINALLY tells his parents that he is a five point aftd.
This book as an alternate earth timeline is very believable though not as much as before. I love this series and have read it many times up to the fourth book and am rereading it again as I just bought the fifth book and wanted to be fully immersed in the world when I read the new installment. I hope the changes do not continue as the beauty of this series was the vague scary government that while sort of like ours WASN'T ours Carson and Brett have escalated the violence that they perpetrate and leave Caleb no choice but to reciprocate.
After saving the newest member of their group from certain abuse, Caleb knows the bull's-eye is dead center on him. Does Caleb use the undead as a weapon of defense while his group hangs in the balance of imminent peril?
